Is this a Plateau? I'm new and confused.

Hit a plateau on my current medication and trying to decide whether to bump the dose or hold where I'm at. How long did the food noise take to quiet down.

The stalls freaked me out at first too, but mine always broke after a few weeks of holding steady. I'm down 57 lbs now and most of that came in chunks, not a steady line. Food noise quieted for me somewhere around week three or four.

My losses came in chunks too - I'd sit stalled for three weeks on 0.25 then suddenly drop four pounds overnight. Food noise faded for me around week four, so hang in there. I also stayed put on my dose during those dips rather than rushing up.

Mine on Victoza came in plateaus too, even at the top dose where I am now - the scale sat still for a bit and then whoosh, another couple pounds gone. I held my dose through the stalls and the quieting of food noise took close to a month for me, later than some folks here. Give it a few more weeks before changing anything, that's what I'd do in your spot.

I stalled around the same point on my way to Ozempic 1mg and the whoosh showed up about ten days later, so the waiting really is the hard part. Food noise took closer to six weeks for me than for most folks here, but once it faded it stayed gone. Staying at my dose through the stall worked out better than my impatient self wanted.

I went on the 1 mg dose last week after four weeks of .5 mg. The day after my injection I had a lot of nausea and near vomiting. It's gotten better now. Tomorrow is injection day can I expect the same?

For me the rough days after moving up were worst on that first shot and milder the second week, so I would not brace for a repeat of tomorrow. Eating something small and bland before injecting and sipping ginger tea helped me get through it. Down 40-some lbs now and the queasiness never came back like that first time.

Plateaus hit me around week 10 at 22 lbs down and it broke on its own after about three weeks of nothing. Food noise took a couple months to really fade for me, and it creeps back a bit when I stall, then quiets down again. I held my dose rather than rushing up and it worked out fine.

I stalled around the same point, ~30 lbs gone, and sat tight for a few weeks instead of moving up. It broke on its own, so the wait was worth it for me. Food noise took a good two months to really quiet down, and it does get louder during a stall then fades again.

Food noise took a good month or so for me, and I'm down 25 lbs with two stalls along the way that both broke on their own. Pausing longer between bumps worked for me too, so patience might pay off before you change anything.

Stalls broke on their own for me too around the 24 lb mark, so a couple weeks of holding steady before deciding anything seems reasonable. Food noise faded for me somewhere in the first month, it was gradual rather than a switch flipping.

My stalls were around 30 and 40 lbs and both eased after a few weeks without changing anything. The food noise faded slowly for me too, more like a dimmer than an on/off switch.

Mine broke around week three without changing anything, and I'm only about 16 lbs in so take that for what it's worth. Food noise took closer to two months for me before I noticed it had gotten quiet. I'd give it a few more weeks before touching anything.
