Sulfur burps SOS - please help

Sulfur burps were brutal for me too when I moved up a dose. Simethicone before meals plus cutting back on anything greasy made the biggest difference for me, and smaller dinners helped a lot since they always hit worse overnight. Hang in there, mine faded after a few weeks on the dose.

The burps nearly broke me around week six when I was 40-some pounds into this. Simethicone right when I felt one coming plus skipping red meat that day made a real difference for me. They did taper off once my body adjusted, hang in there.

Burps hit me worst when I ate late at night, so stopping meals a good 3 hours before bed cut them way down. Pepcid before dinner helped too. Hang in there, it did fade for me eventually.

Mine got so bad on Trulicity I started keeping a food log, and it turned out eggs and anything with garlic were my triggers - dropped those on injection week and the burps basically vanished. Also stopped eating after 7pm, which helped more than anything I tried OTC. Give it a few weeks, mine cleared up once I settled at my current dose.

Only thing that touched mine was cutting way back on sugar and processed carbs - the sulfur smell got noticeably milder within days when I did that. Also felt less nausea overall, which made staying on track for my 26 lbs easier. Worth a shot if the food log route doesn't turn up a trigger.

Down 53 lbs myself and the sulfur burps hit me hardest whenever I ate too close to bedtime. Late dinners and I'd be up all night with them, so I try to finish eating a few hours before lying down. Similase-type digestive enzymes before meals seemed to take the edge off for me too.

Eggs were my trigger too, never would have guessed until I cut them for a week and the burps finally backed off. Also swear by not eating within a few hours of lying down. Mine faded around the same time I hit my second month, so hopefully yours ease up soon.

Eggs turn mine foul every time, so it might be worth tracking what you ate before the bad days. I'm early on Zep like you and Pepcid-style stuff plus smaller dinners seemed to dial mine down. Hang in there, they do seem to come and go.

Mine got way better once I stopped eating red meat, which seems to sit in my stomach forever at this point. Also a walk after dinner helps things move along so nothing ferments overnight. Worth experimenting since everyone's trigger foods are different.

Mine flared worst after fatty or slow-digesting meals, so on those days I keep dinner small and early. Sugar-free gum seemed to make them worse for me oddly, so worth noting if you chew any. They did fade as my stomach settled, hopefully yours do too.

Eggs are my trigger too, so I skip them on shot weeks now and it's been night and day. Since you'll try anything, I also found eating my last meal well before bed keeps the funk from hitting overnight. They're brutal but they did calm down around the time I'd lost 7 lbs, so fingers crossed yours ease up soon.

The sulfur burps were brutal for me early on Saxenda too, and cutting back on greasy food helped more than anything. I also keep a mini ginger situation going - ginger chews or ginger tea seemed to take the edge off when one hit. They mostly stopped once my body adjusted, hang in there.

I still get them when I eat too much in one sitting, so smaller meals more often has been the big one for me. Peppermint tea after dinner seems to take the edge off too, though honestly it just fades for me after a few days each cycle. Hang in there, it does get less frequent the longer you're on it.

Seconding the smaller meals thing - on Rybelsus I noticed the burps hit hardest whenever I scarfed down a big dinner. Probiotic yogurt in the morning helped me more than I expected too. They faded for me once I stopped treating my stomach like a bottomless pit.

The one thing that made a real difference for me was protein pacing - spreading mine across the day instead of one big chunk at dinner. I also swear by fennel seeds when a burp hits, sounds weird but it works for me. Around the 7 lb mark mine started fading, so hopefully that's coming for you too.

Down only a couple lbs here too and mine still flare up randomly, so don't lose hope this early. What got me through the worst nights was a walk after dinner and skipping anything greasy late in the day. ginger chews on hand for the gross ones, they at least take the edge off.

The sulfur burps were my worst side effect too until I cut out greasy food completely - anything fried basically triggered them for me. The burps are gone but I'm up to 28 lbs down, so it was worth the trade. Ginger chews were my backup when one snuck through.

Cutting late dinners was the game changer for me too - once I made sure nothing heavy sat in my stomach overnight, the eggy burps mostly stopped showing up. Also noticed carbonated drinks made them way worse, so I switched to plain water with meals. Congrats on the 38 lbs btw, that's real progress even when the side effects are miserable.

Probiotics ended up being my fix - a couple weeks of yogurt every morning and my eggy burps basically vanished. Figured it was worth a shot since nothing else was touching them at my 7 lb mark. Cheapest experiment I've run on this med.
