Anyone microdosing Rybelsus for maintenance?

Curious whether anyone here has tried staying on a low amount of Rybelsus long term once they hit their goal, since I am only down about 3 lbs so far and thinking ahead to what maintenance might look like. The oral route seems like it could be easier to fine tune than the shots. Would love to hear how it has worked out for anyone who went that route, including whether the appetite control held up.

I'm not at maintenance yet (down 53 lbs) but the empty stomach thing is what kills the oral idea for me too, I can barely manage coffee before food as it is. Anyone I've talked to who eased down the shots said hunger crept back some but stayed workable, so that seems like the safer baseline to fine tune from.

I stayed on shots for maintenance since lowering my Ozempic to a smaller dose kept my appetite quiet enough, and honestly the once-weekly routine is easier for me than remembering a daily pill on an empty stomach. Down 33 lbs myself and the hunger did creep back a bit at the lower amount, but it was manageable. Curious if the oral route holds up for you since the flexibility does sound nice.

Down 59 myself and the maintenance question keeps me up too. I stayed on shots and just stretched the interval between them, hunger comes back a notch but it's manageable if I keep protein high. The pill timing would never survive my mornings either, so I didn't even consider it.

The daily empty stomach rule is exactly why I'd struggle with oral too, mornings here are coffee first or nothing. I'm on reta and down 21 lbs, still a ways from goal, but my plan is easing the amount down slowly and seeing where appetite lands rather than switching delivery. Seems like the folks who lowered shots gradually mostly kept things workable.

I hit my goal on shots too and found the appetite control got shakier as I eased down, though nothing I couldnt handle with a little more planning. The empty stomach requirement for the pills would be a dealbreaker for me personally since mornings are chaos here, but I get why the fine tuning appeal is real. Curious if anyone chimes in who actually made the oral switch long term.

Down 81 here and I tried the oral route early on, the fasting window before it was miserable and I never felt it hit as consistently as the shots did. Stretching the days between injections has been what works for me, hunger ticks up a little each extra day but nothing I can't ride out with protein and volume eating. Fine tuning an oral dose sounds nice on paper but mornings would wreck it for me too.

At 46 down I'm stretching my shot interval too and it's been surprisingly smooth, hunger bumps up a little around day 8 but fades once I get back on. Never tried the pills but the empty stomach wait alone would have killed it for me, I'm useless before my first coffee.

Oral never appealed to me for the same reason, I can barely function before coffee and the empty stomach rule would be a dealbreaker. I'm only 15 down so maintenance still feels far off, but the stretched interval approach is what I'd lean toward since hunger creep seems manageable for most folks here. Keep us posted if you experiment with the pill route.

The empty stomach wait is the part nobody mentions until they try it - I did the pills for a few months early on and half the time I'd forget I couldn't even have water right, so my results were all over the place. Stretched intervals on the shot have been way more predictable for me at 26 down, hunger shows up around day 6-7 but it's manageable. If you do test the oral route for maintenance, I'd love to hear whether the appetite control actually holds at a lower amount.

I'm early in this too (single digits down) so maintenance is mostly a daydream for me, but the oral timing issue seems like the real wildcard - I already struggle to wait for my coffee, let alone skipping water too. My plan is stretching the shot interval when I get closer to goal since so many here say the hunger creep stays manageable. Curious if anyone has actually stuck with the pills long term though.

I did the opposite route - went from shots and honestly the morning fasting rules were why I never considered the pills, so respect for thinking it through this early. At 55 down on Mounjaro I've been stretching my interval out to 8-9 days and that's been enough to hold the line, though hunger definitely taps me on the shoulder by day 8. If you try the oral for maintenance, the water restriction is the thing that seems to trip people up more than the dosing itself.

#13

Also on Mounjaro here, down about 50, and I landed on stretching my interval rather than switching formats - the empty stomach rules alone would sink me since coffee is non-negotiable. I've gone 8-9 days between shots and the hunger shows up but stays manageable. Something worth asking your doc about if the pills don't pan out.

Down 32 myself and maintenance is starting to feel real, so this thread is helpful. I doubt I could stick to the empty stomach rules either - waiting to eat is one thing, but no water before coffee would break me by week two. Stretching my shot interval is probably where I'll land too, based on how well it seems to work for the folks above.

Only 19 down myself so maintenance feels far off, but the oral fasting rules are exactly why I never looked at Rybelsus either - waiting 30 minutes with no water before coffee would be a dealbreaker in my house too. Glad the interval stretching works for some, I'll keep that in my back pocket when I get closer.

Only 9 down here so I'm in the same early stage, but the morning coffee fasting rules killed my interest in the pills right away too. If I ever hit goal I'll probably try stretching my shot interval first like the others said, seems simpler than relearning a whole routine.

#17

Hit goal after losing about 60 and I just stretched my shots out rather than switching delivery methods. The oral fasting routine would've been a nonstarter for me too, since coffee is non-negotiable first thing. If appetite control starts slipping at longer intervals, that's the signal I'd use to tighten things back up, and it hasn't really happened yet.

Down 50 and nowhere near goal yet, but stretching the interval makes way more sense to me than relearning everything around the pill rules. Coffee rules my mornings too, so Rybelsus was a quick no from me. My plan is basically what the poster above did - space shots further apart and watch whether the food noise creeps back.

#19

22 lbs in myself and still a ways off goal, but the shot-stretching route makes way more sense to me too. The empty-stomach wait plus no coffee for a while would wreck my mornings, so I never even considered the pills. Watching whether the food noise comes back seems like the right signal regardless of which method you end up on.

On Zepbound myself so no dog in the Rybelsus fight, but the morning coffee thing alone would've killed it for me too. I just stretch my shots the same way and use creeping food noise as my signal, which has stayed quiet so far at wider gaps.
