Allergy flare-up, anyone experienced this?

Been on Wegovy 1 month now, just increased to 0.5 dosage. No issues apart from mild acid reflux and nausea. Three days before I switched to a higher dosage I had an allergic reaction to something I ate. Hives, swollen ears and eyes, red patches. No swollen throat or difficulty breathing, just very itchy. I used to have food allergies as a teenager, prime allergy was lactose. All allergies disappeared completely over time. From my research it shows that GLP1 can cause increased hypersensitivity of (latent) allergies, partially due to the slower digestion. I've cut out lactose and am taking over the counter antihistamines, and am waiting for my doctor's feedback, but has anyone else experienced this? Thank you!

Good sign there was no throat tightness or breathing trouble. If that ever does show up though, don't wait it out — that's a 911 thing. You're not imagining the link, either. The "GLP-1 slows your digestion, which seems to change how your body handles food" thing comes up here a lot. Reflux and nausea are really common in the early weeks; the old-allergies-waking-back-up part is newer and fuzzier, so I'd go with whatever your doctor (or an allergist) says. Three days out from a dose bump, it's honestly hard to tell if it was the food, the increase, or just timing.
