Todays strength session, small but consistent

Only down about a pound so far but I showed up for my lifting session today anyway and that felt like the real win. Kept the weights light and just focused on form since the appetite has been weird and my energy dips mid-workout. Anyone else finding strength training harder or easier since starting?

Yeah, last week I set out for a quick loop around the block and ended up going almost an hour because I just felt like keeping going. Never happened before the meds, I used to talk myself out of movement at every chance. Nice when the body actually wants to cooperate for once.

I've dropped a good chunk of weight and honestly the lifting got easier once the scale moved, but those mid-session energy dips were real for the first couple months. Eating something small with protein about an hour before helped me push through. Showing up on a low-energy day is exactly the habit that carries you later.

The dips hit me hard too, especially early on at my current dose. I started keeping a banana or some jerky in my gym bag and that alone got me through sessions where I'd otherwise have quit halfway. Twenty down now and the heavier lifts finally feel doable again.

The mid-session fade was brutal for me too on Victoza, especially the first month or so. I started timing my sessions for right after a smaller protein-heavy meal instead of training fasted and that made a bigger difference than anything else. Form over weight is the right call, the strength catches back up quicker than you'd expect once things settle.

Down 30 myself and the fading stopped being an issue once I stopped training fasted, same thing a few folks here noticed. Fasted sessions used to wreck me around the halfway mark. Keeping the weights light while your appetite figures itself out is honestly the smart play, the strength comes back fast.
