Plateau at current dose, bump or hold?

I've stalled a handful of times across losing 56 lbs and every single one broke on its own within two to four weeks. My longest was about a month and I nearly caved, glad I didn't. Waiting for your check-in sounds like the right call.

I stalled around 18 down for a good two and a half weeks and it resolved on its own without changing anything. The two times I got antsy and adjusted early in my first months, I regretted it. Three weeks feels long when you're in it but it's really not.

Only 4 lbs into my own journey so I haven't hit a real stall yet, but every story here says the same thing: the walls broke on their own. I'd take that as my answer and just show up to the check-in as planned.

Down 46 lbs on Wegovy myself and stalls hit me every few months, usually right after a big drop. Mine never lasted past three weeks without a change, so I'd give it one more week before touching anything. Whooshes always came out of nowhere for me, often after a day of eating more salt than usual.

At 45 lbs down I've stalled a handful of times and every single one broke on its own without touching my dose, usually right after I was sure nothing was working anymore. One of mine lasted nearly a month before a big drop showed up overnight. I'd sit tight and let the check-in tell you.

Three weeks in is right around when I hit my first wall at 15 lbs down, and it broke on its own about a week later with a random whoosh. Mine came after a weekend where I ate way more than usual, similar to what another poster said about salt. I'd hold and see what the check-in shows.

I'm only a couple pounds in so no real stalls yet, but reading these makes me feel better about what to expect later. Sounds like waiting it out is the common ending here, and a month-long stall still breaking on its own is encouraging. Let the check-in decide for you.

My stalls at 28 lbs down have all broken within a couple weeks if I just kept eating normally and didn't panic-tweak anything. Three weeks feels forever but it's really not that long in the grand scheme. I'd go into your check-in with no changes planned and only reconsider if the scale's still frozen a month out.

#29

I stalled around the same point you're at, right after hitting my 36 lb mark, and it lasted almost four weeks before the scale suddenly dropped again. I never touched my dose and I'm glad I didn't. Three weeks feels brutal but it's still well within normal from what I've seen here.

I stalled hard right around my 40 lb mark too, sat there for almost a month, then dropped 4 lbs in one week without changing a thing. Bodies seem to want a breather after big losses. If it were me I'd hold and let the check-in be just a check-in.

Only 7 lbs down so far myself, but I've already had one two-week stall that resolved on its own without me touching anything. Reading that yours hit right after a big milestone like 33 lbs makes me think bodies just like to pause and catch up sometimes. Hoping my next stall goes as smoothly as what you all are describing.

I've been on Saxenda a while and my longest stall was almost six weeks around the 50 lb mark — drove me nuts, then it broke on its own while I stayed at 3.0mg. Three weeks after a big loss like yours reads like a catch-up pause to me, so I'd ride it out and see what the scale says at your check-in.

#33

I stalled right after hitting 46 lbs down and it lasted almost a month before the scale started moving again with no changes on my end. After a big drop like yours, three weeks feels pretty normal from what I've seen in my own log. I'd hold and see what happens at your check-in.

Still early on my own run and only about 8 lbs down, but my mom did liraglutide and her plateaus always seemed to hit right after a big whoosh, then break on their own. Three weeks after a loss like yours sounds like the catch-up pause others mentioned. I'd go to the check-in with no changes planned and see what the scale does the week after.

#36

I stalled twice on my way to 61 lbs down and both times it broke without touching the dose, around the four week mark each time. Your body might just be catching up after that 33 lb run. I went into my check-ins with no changes and was glad I did.

#37

Both my stalls on Saxenda lasted right around three weeks before things started dropping again, and I never touched the pen. After 71 lbs down I've learned those catch-up pauses are usually your body recalibrating, so I'd walk into your check-in with no changes and give it one more week.

#38

We're basically at the same spot, down 32 lbs and my stall last month ran almost three weeks before the scale dropped again with no changes. I held at the same dose and it worked out, so I'd give it another week before deciding anything at your check-in.

#39

My stall around the 34 lb mark lasted just over three weeks and the bump is what finally broke it for me, scale moving again within about ten days. The appetite quieting got a lot stronger though, so I'd factor in how you're feeling day to day, not just the number.

#40

My stalls are shorter (only a week or so at a time so far) but I held my dose each time and the scale picked back up on its own, so I'd be tempted to wait it out. Seems like both outcomes happen for people here, so maybe it comes down to how your hunger and energy feel day to day rather than the three-week number alone.
