Mine was reaching the kitchen shelf above the stove without doing the tiptoe stretch, just grabbed the bowl like it was nothing. Sixteen pounds in and I hadn't even noticed until it happened. Love this thread.
Todays small win that made you smile
Down about 53 and my moment this week was jeans from the back of the closet going on without the wiggle dance. Also realized I've been taking the stairs at work without even dreading it anymore. These threads always make my day.
Mine was crossing my legs while sitting in my chair at work, used to only do that on the couch. Twenty pounds down and it just happened without thinking, had to laugh. Love seeing everyone's wins pile up here.
Crossing my legs was a huge one for me too, felt like a weird milestone nobody talks about. Mine this week was buckling the seatbelt on a plane without that little breath hold I always did. Forty-nine pounds in and the small stuff keeps stacking up.
The plane seatbelt one hit me, I still do that little breath hold every flight. Thirteen pounds down so far and my win was a ring sliding over my knuckle without a fight, weirdly emotional for a Tuesday.
The knuckle thing is real, my wedding ring spins around loose now and I keep catching myself fiddling with it. My moment this week was jogging up the stairs at my mom's place and not needing the railing halfway. These threads are the best part of my mornings.
Love the stair one, I had my version last week hauling laundry up without stopping to catch my breath. Down 26 myself and the wins are coming faster now that clothes actually fit. My favorite so far was putting on socks without doing the balancing act against the wall.
The sock one got me, I still do the lean against the dresser sometimes out of habit even though I don't need it anymore. My small win this week was the office chair actually feeling roomy instead of snug. Fifteen down and apparently my brain hasn't caught up to my belt yet.
Mine was buckling my seatbelt in the car without doing the little exhale-and-tug. Sat there for a second wondering when that changed. Also down a belt notch and the old holes are way behind me now.
The seatbelt one hit home because mine was crossing my legs comfortably on the couch again. Only down about 6 but apparently my knees got the memo early. Love this thread.
I still catch myself doing the dresser lean too even though it's pointless now. My win was the airplane seatbelt clicking on the first try on a work trip, no scarf-over-the-buckle maneuver. Funny how the smallest things feel like the biggest victories.
Love that this turned into a thread of little moments nobody warns you about. Mine this week was slipping past all my coworkers in a crowded hallway without doing the sideways shuffle I used to plan for. 48 down and apparently my shoulders got the message too.
Mine was getting through a crowded restaurant booth without that awkward pause before squeezing in. Down around 26 and I noticed it when a friend slid in first and I just followed like it was nothing. Did a little internal happy dance over chips and salsa.
Around 28 down here and my win was tying shoes without holding my breath and propping my leg up on a stool. Didn't even notice until I was done and realized I'd just done it. These little reflex moments are the best part.
Crossing my legs is my weird one -- sat down on the couch last week and just did it automatically for the first time in years, somewhere around the 49 mark. Sat there grinning like an idiot. Funny how the body keeps score of these things before your brain catches up.
Mine was airplane seatbelt clicking on the first try at 15 down -- had to give it a little tug to double check I wasn't imagining it. These autopilot wins hit different, your leg crossing one made me grin.
Getting off the floor without grabbing the couch arm was mine -- pushed up off my knee without even thinking, then stood there a second processing it. Around 56 down and apparently the body relearns things like that quietly. Love this thread.
Fitting into an old winter jacket I'd written off as a lost cause -- zipped it up no problem and wore it to the store just because I could. Love how these wins sneak up on you.
