Welcome! I'm in South Florida too and a couple cycles in on tirz, down 22 myself, so nice to see a familiar starting point. The intros section gets pretty quiet but the main boards are active if you have questions.
Hey, welcome. I'm down about 40 myself and the early weeks felt slow until the appetite noise faded, so give it a little time before judging progress.
Welcome aboard. I'm down 29 myself and the biggest help early on was just eating small and often even when hunger disappeared, so don't stress if your appetite tanks at first. The food noise quieting down is when things really clicked for me.
So happy to have you here, welcome. Welcome! This community makes a huge difference.
31 lbs here too, and that first stretch without appetite was the weirdest part. Keep some easy protein around for when eating feels like a chore. Congrats on getting started.
Welcome! I'm on reta down 20 lbs myself, and the appetite wipeout in week one caught me off guard too. Shakes and yogurt got me through the days when real food felt impossible.
Only 9 lbs in myself so still fairly fresh, but the slow start didn't stop the food noise from fading pretty early for me. Reading what's worked for people further along here has been the most useful part so far.
Has your sleep changed at all since starting? Finally cracked a plateau I'd been stuck on for a month. Stay the course.
Scale didn't move but my rings fit again. Welcome aboard, so glad you found us.
Welcome! Down 31 lbs on semaglutide myself and the early weeks felt slow too before things clicked. What dose are you starting on?
What helped you push through the plateau? This made my day to read.
Welcome! The first few weeks felt uneventful for me too, then appetite quieted down around week 3 and things moved. Curious what your starting plan looks like.
Welcome aboard! I'm in Albuquerque too and down about 60 on Wegovy, now at 1mg. The slow start is normal for a lot of us, so don't sweat it if week one feels quiet.
Welcome! Another Albuquerque-area member here, down 45 myself, and I remember week one feeling like nothing was happening before the appetite noise finally faded. Hope your first few weeks go smoother than mine did.
Another welcome from someone who also lives here in Albuquerque. I'm down 29 myself and the early weeks dragging on forever was the hardest part mentally, but once the food noise faded it got way easier. Good luck with the start.
Funny how many of us are in Albuquerque. Only 11 lbs in myself so far, but even that early the quieting of the food thoughts was the first thing I noticed. Welcome and good luck with the start.
Funny, I started around the same time of year and remember wondering if anything would kick in, then around week three the cravings just dialed way down. Down 23 since then. What made the biggest difference for me early on was just getting enough fluids in.
