I started ozempic a week ago yesterday. A .5 dose once a week. I've been very careful about what I eat. I weigh exactly the same as I weighed a week ago. At times my appetite is down from what it was. Is there a period of time that it takes for ozempic to kick in?

Ozempic typically takes a few weeks to show noticeable effects, as your body adjusts to the medication. Most people see changes in appetite and weight after 2-4 weeks. Stick to your prescribed dose and consult your prescriber if you have concerns. Not medical advice, check with your prescriber.

Just wanted to say, Sending good vibes your way. Finally cracked a plateau I'd been stuck on for a month. Are you pairing it with any walking or strength work.

I stayed on the starter dose an extra month and it was the right call.

Thank you all for your responses. I'll tell my story in regards to my battle with type 1 diabetes another time. It's very difficult for me to walk because of hip problems. I do get exercise just taking care of my 2 acre property this time of year. Apparently I need to be patient and allow the med to do it's thing. Thanks again.
