Hi, I’m a newcomer from the land of the long white cloud and have finally found my way here. I have been on mounjaro 10
and have slowly lost 22kg. However, I’m about to retire and don’t think I’ll be able to continue paying the exorbitant price.

What's helped you most with cravings at night? Your mileage may vary though.
22kg on 10 is solid progress, congrats. I'm down 77 lbs myself and had the same money panic when I switched to part-time work — turned out I could stretch things by spacing shots a bit further apart, though that's just what worked for me. Retiring with that kind of loss already banked is a great place to start.
Such an inspiration honestly. You should feel really good about this.
22kg down before retirement is a position a lot of us would envy. I'm on Wegovy myself and worry about the same math when my budget shifts, so I get it. Hopefully spacing doses out like the other poster mentioned keeps working for you.
That 22kg is a big deal going into retirement, way more than my modest 9 lbs so far. The budget worry is real for a lot of us, but plenty here seem to make lower doses or longer gaps stretch their supply. Congrats on both the loss and the retirement.
Kia ora from the other side of the ditch, congrats on the 22kg and the retirement. I panic about the same cost thing whenever my own budget tightens, and stretching the gap between doses has helped me keep things affordable without backsliding. Hope you find a setup that works long term.
Sticking to the same injection day each week keeps me consistent. Ask your prescriber about splitting the increase if it feels like too much at once. Solidarity from here.
Kia ora, welcome. The cost worry hit me too when I sized up my own budget, and going longer between doses has worked okay for me so far without the loss stalling, though everyone's different. Hope retirement and the maintenance plan come together nicely for you.
Another kiwi here waving hello. Retiring and keeping up the cost is a real squeeze, and I found spacing my doses further apart kept things affordable while my loss continued, so that route is worth exploring. Congrats on the 22kg, that is a huge win to carry into retirement.
