Mental health check-in for today, honest thoughts

Lost about 30 myself and the head stuff has been the bigger adjustment than the food noise going away. Therapy and a nightly walk are what keep me level. Good thread, checking in on your brain really does matter.

Checking in like this actually helps me more than the scale does. I've started writing down one good thing from each day, even on slow weeks, and it keeps the head stuff from piling up.

The scale gets all the attention but my head needed more work than my body did the first couple months on Trulicity. I started journaling on injection nights to catch any mood dips early, and it's honestly helped me stay level. Checking in like this is a good habit too.

Only 4 lbs down so far but the mental side hit me faster than the scale did. I've been doing a short walk after dinner when the afternoon slump turns into a mood dip, and it seems to reset something. Threads like this are a good reminder the head work counts too.

The further I get from where I started, the more I notice my moods shift with the little wins, not the big numbers. I keep a note on my phone for stuff like clothes fitting better or having energy to play with my kids, and rereading it pulls me out of a funk way faster than weighing myself does.

My moods definitely track with non-scale stuff too. I'm a few months into my shot and about 21 lbs lighter, but the biggest head change has been noticing I actually want to move again, even just taking my dog around the block after dinner instead of crashing on the couch.
