Also 22 lbs in and still choppy, but the earlier dinner thing is the only lever that's made any difference for me so far. Weirdly my good nights tend to land right after my shot day, so it feels like the timing of everything matters more than the med itself. Glad the rough patch has an expiry date for most people here.
Sleep changes since starting - anyone?
28 lbs down here and the shot-night sleep bonus held up for me too, but the middle-of-the-week wakeups faded once I stopped checking the clock and just let myself doze. Earlier dinners made the biggest difference on my end as well. It really did even out for me around the two-month mark.
My triglycerides dropped more than I expected, and my fasting glucose finally landed in normal range after years of hovering just above it. Interesting that you mentioned sleep too - I stopped waking up at 3am once the late-night eating stopped.
Same on my end, down 37 lbs on Trulicity and the 3am wakeups mostly quit once I quit clock-checking and stopped eating late. Took me closer to three months to settle out, but it did happen.Down 37 on Trulicity here and the same arc happened to me - rough patch early on, then things settled out for me somewhere around month three. The clock-checking was definitely making it worse, so once I stopped doing that math the middle of the night got a lot less stressful.
The 3am thing hit me hard the first few weeks on 1mg too. Cutting out evening snacking was what finally fixed it for me, and now at 37 lbs down I sleep better than before I started. Give it a couple months before worrying.
Only 14 lbs in myself so I'm still in the rough patch, but the late-night kitchen trips stopping helped my middle-of-the-night wakeups more than anything. Fingers crossed month three is as kind to me as it sounds like it was for you all.
Around 18 lbs in myself and I've noticed the same pattern - good nights and bad nights alternating. What's helped me is keeping the room dark and not grabbing my phone when I wake up, since lying there doing math about how much sleep I have left just makes it worse. Hoping things smooth out the way it sounds like they did for the others here.
I had the same 3am wakeups early on and mine faded somewhere around the two month mark, now at 42 lbs down I mostly sleep through. The nights I do wake up, staying off the phone makes the biggest difference for getting back down. Sounds like your body is just recalibrating like a lot of ours did.
Same here at around 27 down - the wild swings leveled out for me somewhere in month two, though I still get an occasional 3am stretch. Leaving the phone alone and just riding it out has been the only thing that reliably gets me back under. Give it a bit more time, the pattern seemed to settle on its own.
Only 7 lbs in so I'm right in the messy early stretch with you, and my nights have been all over the place too - a couple solid ones then a 3am stare-at-the-ceiling session. Mine seem to line up with injection day, so I've started noting it in my phone to see if there's actually a pattern. Sounds like the consensus here is it chills out by month two, which is good enough for me to just wait it out.
Mine were all over the place early on too but by the time I hit 40-something down it was mostly smooth nights. Around week three I did figure out my rough nights clustered right after shot day, same as you're tracking now, and once I knew that was coming it got way less annoying. Just ride it out, it does settle.
My triglycerides were the surprise for me too - down over 60 points at my last draw even though the scale had barely moved that month. Sleep got way better here as well once I stopped eating so late, so that tracks with what others are saying. Now I actually look forward to lab day, which is weird.
The shot-day connection is real for me too, my rough nights always hit a day or two after my daily dose ramps up. I'm only about 8 lbs in on Saxenda so still in the messy phase like you, but logging it in my phone has at least made the 3am wakeups less annoying since I know why they're probably happening. Hoping it evens out by month two like everyone says.
Same pattern here, 45 lbs in now, and the middle-of-the-night wakeups basically stopped once I got past the first couple months. Mine also lined up with shot day like the others said, so I started taking mine earlier in the day and that seemed to help. Weird phase but it does pass.
I'm about 22 lbs in and my rough nights mostly clustered right after injection day too, but they've gotten way less frequent now. Logging mine in a sleep app made the pattern obvious once I looked back a few weeks. Not perfect yet, but the trend is definitely toward normal.
Mine lined up with injection day too, and around the 30 lb mark the 3am wakeups mostly faded. I also stopped eating dinner late since a heavy stomach seemed to make the restless nights worse, at least for me. Give it another month, the trend really does bend toward normal.
Around 21 lbs down and I had the same 3am thing for the first month or so, worst right after injection day. Mine settled down once I moved my shot to morning, and I sleep through now more often than not. Sounds like yours is trending the same way.
The 3am thing is real but it does fade - mine was roughest the first couple months and now at 70 lbs down I rarely wake mid-night at all. Weirdly the deeper sleep started showing up as the scale dropped, so the bad nights might just be part of the adjustment. Hang in there a few more weeks.
11 lbs in and I get the 3am thing too, worst in the days right after my shot. It's already getting less frequent for me, so I'm betting the pattern holds as more weight comes off.
