Anyone lifting through the loss phase?

Down 33 myself and my deadlift stalled hard until I started eating something with protein an hour or so before evening sessions - the appetite suppression made me train fasted without realizing it. Strength is slowly creeping back up now even while the scale keeps dropping, so it can hold if you feed the lifts.

Only a few pounds down so far on Victoza so I'm early in this, but I lift twice a week and already learned the hard way that training on an empty stomach wrecks my sessions. I keep a shake or some eggs down even when food is the last thing I want, and my numbers have stayed put so far. Watching this thread for what works deeper into the loss.

Down 14 and mostly doing rows and presses right now, so take it for what it's worth, but eating something before lifting made a bigger difference than I expected. My squats went soft for a couple weeks until I figured out I was basically training on nothing. Strength seems to be holding since I force a meal in first even when food sounds awful.

Those intervals got me running too at about the same loss point. I was surprised how fast the jog stretches added up once I stopped caring about pace -- my first "real" runs were barely faster than my walks. Twenty pounds lighter makes a bigger difference than you'd expect.

I'm about 30 lbs down and my lifts dipped around the 20 lb mark until I stopped training fasted — a small meal an hour or so before made a night-and-day difference. Strength came back and I'm holding my numbers now, even though appetite suppression makes eating feel like a chore some days. 77 down while still touching heavy weights is seriously impressive.

Only a couple pounds in so I can't speak to the long haul yet, but I started lifting before the meds and the one thing I've noticed is my grip failing before anything else on pull days. The pre-workout meal thing checks out from my side too -- even half a banana and some yogurt keeps my last set from falling apart. 77 down with your numbers intact gives me something to aim for.

Down 60 myself and the biggest thing for me was accepting lighter top sets on low-energy days instead of grinding through them -- the strength stuck around better once I stopped ego lifting through the dips. Protein first thing in the morning helps too since I can't face much food later. Congrats on 77, that's a long way to go while still pulling heavy.

Down 19 so far and lifting through it too -- my top sets on squat day are the first thing to wobble when I haven't eaten enough, so I plan my heaviest session for the day after my shot when appetite is still okay-ish. Strength has basically held, just fewer reps in the tank. Sounds like backing off on the rough days is the move based on what others are saying here.

Down about the same as you and I've noticed the same pattern with squats being first to go when food is low. I started keeping my heavy bench day later in the week and it made a real difference. We're already doing better than most people manage at any size.

Only about 6 lbs down so far but I lift four mornings a week and the appetite thing is already noticeable -- I can tell within the first warm-up set whether I fueled enough the night before. Early days, but strength has been steady for me when I get protein in even when calories run low.Only about 6 lbs down so far but I've been lifting through it too, and I already notice the same pattern where my top sets tell me immediately if I under-fueled the day before. Eating more protein on the days before heavy sessions has kept my numbers steady so far. Sounds like the timing trick others mentioned is worth trying as the appetite suppression ramps up.
