Three denied claims later, I finally got my Wegovy approved. Here's what changed in the third appeal: my doctor submitted a peer-to-peer review request AND cited the plan's own coverage policy language directly in the appeal. Insurance companies are betting you'll give up. Don't.

Adding my two cents: Protein first at every meal has been my golden rule. Walking 8k steps a day alongside the meds really compounds. Keep us posted!

Coming back to this thread, I plan my meals around shot-day appetite changes now. You've got this. Definitely run it by your own prescriber though.

Coming back to this thread — My doctor had me hold at 7.5 until side effects settled. Talk to your prescriber before changing anything, but slow worked for me. Onward! Everyone's different of course.

Talk to your prescriber before changing anything, but slow worked for me. Everyone titrates differently, listen to your own body. The jump to the next dose was smoother than I feared. This community is the best. (Not medical advice, just my own experience.)

The protein-first approach is the single best nutrition change I made. Before any carbs or fats, get your protein in. It works synergistically with the medication to preserve muscle while you're in a deficit.

Adding my two cents: Smaller portions on shot day kept the GI stuff manageable. What helped you push through the plateau. So glad I'm not alone in this. Definitely run it by your own prescriber though.

Coming back to this thread — Don't weigh daily, the trend line is what matters. What's your current titration schedule looking like. Ginger tea and tiny meals saved me through the early weeks.

Honestly, Are you pairing it with any walking or strength work. Walking 8k steps a day alongside the meds really compounds. I keep a food and weight log to spot the trends, not the daily noise. This community is the best.
