I'm a nurse and I want to share a clinical perspective on the GI side effects. What's happening in your gut during the first few weeks is the medication slowing gastric emptying significantly. This is by design — it's the mechanism that creates satiety. The nausea is your body adjusting to this new normal. It gets better as your body adapts.

Late to this but Titrating slowly is so underrated, no rush to climb. This past year has been the biggest change of my life. So glad I'm not alone in this. Definitely run it by your own prescriber though.

Coming back to this thread — How long did the food noise take to quiet down. A1C came back normal at my last check-up. Protein first at every meal has been my golden rule. Everyone's different of course.

Same here, I keep a food and weight log to spot the trends, not the daily noise. Titrating slowly is so underrated, no rush to climb. You've got this. Onward! Definitely run it by your own prescriber though.

Same here, Found my sweet spot dose and I'm not in a hurry to go higher. Down another 1.8 lbs this week and holding steady. Maintenance for three months now and holding. So glad I'm not alone in this.

For what it's worth, Meal-prepping kept me from grazing on bad days. Strength training helped me keep muscle while losing. Rooting for you. (Not medical advice, just my own experience.)

Adding my two cents: Did you split your dose or take it all at once. How are you handling injection-day fatigue. Keep us posted! (Not medical advice, just my own experience.)

Did you split your dose or take it all at once. Maintenance for three months now and holding. Down 3 lbs since my last shot, slow and steady. You've got this.
