For anyone considering the switch from semaglutide to tirzepatide: I made that switch at month 6 and the difference in appetite suppression is noticeable. I went from thinking about food constantly (even on sema) to genuinely not being interested. The dual GIP/GLP-1 mechanism really does seem to add something.

For what it's worth, Walking 8k steps a day alongside the meds really compounds. Are you tracking protein or just eating intuitively. Did your appetite come back at all on the higher dose. This community is the best.

Honestly, My doctor had me hold at 7.5 until side effects settled. I split my routine around the shot day now and it helps. Bumped up to the next dose this week and feeling good. Hang in there.

Late to this but The mental side is harder than people admit. I plan my meals around shot-day appetite changes now. I stayed on the starter dose an extra month and it was the right call. Onward!

Coming back to this thread, How are you finding the higher dose so far. Talk to your prescriber before changing anything, but slow worked for me. So glad I'm not alone in this. (Not medical advice, just my own experience.)

Totally agree. Blood pressure is finally in normal range. The mental side is harder than people admit. Bumped up to the next dose this week and feeling good. Rooting for you. Definitely run it by your own prescriber though.
