Appreciate this forum. I was concerned because I was not sure at what dose to begin at? No one was contacting me. And I felt very hungry after 2 weeks of doses (still do) but the comments I received were very encouraging and gave me some relief.
I do have a question: What is it that make you lose weight on GLP? Is it merely the loss of appetite and eating less or is more involved?
I ask because as I mentioned before I have been very hungry these last two weeks, especially last two days with sugar cravings! I take a new dose tomorrow; they told me to bump up from .05 tp 1.0.
I do deliveries of food for Grub Hub, Door Dash, Uber, etc and being in the car delivering food tends to make you hungry-sandwiches, chips, sodas, candy-the food noise is deafening!
I asked that question of "what is it on GLP that makes you lose weight" because I have been eating-a snack here, a snack there, and at the very least I should have at least remained at weight, but I actually lost 4lbs in the last two weeks. Although I am very hungry I haven't actually eaten a lot in quantity or calories, although I do tend to eat bad sugary foods. I've been journaling the last two weeks and today I ate:
Breakfast: Coffee. One slice bacon (Not a breakfast guy)
Lunch: Ham/Cheese Slider. Banana. 6 Crackers. Kit Kat Candy Bar
Snack: Peppermint Patty Jr. Reese PB Cup
Ham/Cheese Slider. Ultra Light Beer
As you can see, I still have my sweet tooth, and I am hoping this medicine-with the bump up- stops my cravings for sweets. I had hiatal hernia surgery in February and unless I chew my food very thoroughly and slow it can get stuck in my throat-I then have to hack it out since I am no longer able to regurgitate from my stomach. Chewing this way allows me to feel full faster and this has led to me losing 15 lbs since March but appears it has also increased my cravings for sugary snacks like pastries and candy-and thus the reason for GLP to stop the food noise.
Sorry for the long post but again: What is IT that makes you lose weight on GLP?
Thank you, wchill.
Looks like I was at 0.2 which equaled 5 units and now going to 0.4 which equals 10 units
