New Here...AND To Glp-1
I also felt nothing that first week, then somewhere around a month in I realized I was leaving half my meals on the plate without thinking about it. Six months later I'm down 45 lbs, and the slower start mattered way less than I expected. Glad you came out of lurk mode -- this place helped me a lot early on too.
Welcome! I'm a few months into Zepbound and the first couple weeks felt like nothing was happening, then the appetite quieted down on its own. Down 15 lbs so far, so trust the slow start.
Week one is early enough that "nothing" happening is totally normal -- I was down only about 4 lbs at that point myself and was second-guessing everything. The quieter appetite kicked in for me a few weeks later, so I just lurked and read threads like this one to stay patient.
Five months in on Wegovy here, down 32 lbs, and I remember wondering the same thing that first week. Mine didn't really click until week three or so. Good timing coming out of lurking -- lots of us at different stages to compare notes with.
Welcome out of lurking mode. I'm on Saxenda, a different med than yours, and it took a few weeks before the appetite noise died down for me too -- down 8 lbs so far. The slow start seems to be the norm from what I've read here.
Welcome aboard. Took me over two weeks before the food chatter finally faded and I'm only down 7 lbs so far, so slow starts seem pretty normal around here. Keep us posted how week two treats you.
