i have slowed down to 5lbs of wt loss per month at 3 months in a row. i have lost 41 and still have about 35 to go. i just upped to 7.5ml from 5ml. I am tempted to take it to 10ml, but the guidelines for Tirz say do not do it. Any insights would be appreciated!
Long stall
5 lbs a month at three months in is still real progress, not much of a stall honestly. When I hit a slowdown I gave it a solid 6 weeks at the new dose before judging it, and things picked back up on their own. The appetite suppression might be doing its job quietly even when the scale seems stuck.
Honestly 5 a month isn't a stall, that's right in the normal range once you're a few months in. I'm on 7.5 myself and noticed the scale moves slower than the tape measure lately — my clothes keep shrinking even when my weight barely budges. I'd give the new dose a couple months before touching anything.
I needed to get a new supplier due to cost and I was shown a bit of a Math calculation. The math showed that if my weight loss was low based on my weight, that medication should be increased.
The new company was happy to share openly how they calculate dosage. With that said, it was very clear that based on the Math alone, that an increase was due.
So although I am an optimistic person who would say, Yes 5lbs a month is great. I also know that I am an impatient person as well and I am anxious to be done and figure out the next step. Ie what lifestyle do i need to lead to maintain etc.
5 lbs a month is right in the range I saw around that point too — the big early losses fade and it becomes a slower grind. When I was tempted to chase a higher dose, I tried tightening up my protein and walking more first instead, and the scale started moving again without touching anything. You're over a third of the way there, so patience is doing more work than you think.
